Uzimajući ovu trilogiju u ruke bila sam odlučna da napišem osvrt na sve tri knjige ujedno. Kad sam završila Janičara i krenula sa Ustanikom dopustila sam Ediju da odluči kako da napišem ovo. Rekao je „Kako ti odlučiš“ da bi odmah sutradan u kratkom razgovoru došli do identičnog mišljenja da je ipak bolje da svaka knjiga za sebe ima posebno moje mišljenje.

Iskreno nisam imala očekivanja jer se prvi put susrećem sa Edijevim pisanjem ali slušajući priče i neka mišljenja pokušala sam da se oduprem porivu da pročitam recenzije i da sebi dozvolim da uživam u prvom čitanju bez ikakve naznake šta bi moglo da se desi kroz romane. Očekivala sam likove koji će voditi sva tri romana i nikako nisam ni pomislila da bi trilogija bila baš ono što jeste – jaka, upečatljiva priča o borbi, o čežnji, o želji da se preživi. Priča o putu ka slobodi, o poslednjem izdisaju mnogih ljudi, priča o najtužnijem periodu srpskog naroda. Na kraju priča o borbi, o hrabrosti i sili koja teče kroz sve nas.

Svi mi znamo ponešto o istoriji, turskoj vladavini, neko dosta, neko malo manje, neko kroz maglu iz škole. Slušajuci priče, gledajući filmove i serije, čitajuci knjige naučimo još više ali moje mišljenje je da nikad nije dosta i nikad nije potpuno. Zbog toga je i ova knjiga pravo malo blago. 

Najjača sila, najveća stena, najlepša stvar na svetu je ljubav. Koja god, kakva god. Edi se poigrao u janičaru sa ljubavlju, porodičnom, bratskom. Pričajući savršenu priču koja nas edukuje, uči i nameće mišljenja kao i uvek kad je reč o činjenicama iz istorije, on nas stavlja u ulogu pravog gledaoca nekog filma gde nas dovodi do toga da nagađamo hoće li biti izdaje u borbenim redovima ili će biti izdaje u srcu. Kroz nagađanja šta će prevagnuti, ono što se prihvati majčinim mlekom i očevim strogim pogledom ili ono što je sudbina namenila kad se poigrala.

Do ove knjige imala sam saznanje da su svi turci isti, ogrezli u veri i molitvi i verujući da je Kuran i Alah ispred svega i svih. Da je islam jedna i jedina svetinja. Na samom početku knjige shvatam da baš i nije tako, što me iznenadi.

"Tvoj i moj Bog, pope, samo nam daju više razloga da se mrzimo, da lakše jedni drugima creva prosipamo i grkljane sečemo. Sila je Bog, pope! Sila! "

Sa tim blagim čuđenjem sam uplovila u ovu priču, verujući da i neki od njih veruju u ravnopravnost. Verujući da i neki od njih misle kako smo jednaki i isti bez obzira kom se bogu molimo i kojoj veri pripadamo. 

I sve bi to bilo divno da nema onog ali... Zapljusne me Edi činjenicom da svi ti koji tako misle su prevalili preko glave i Boga i Alaha i Bibliju i Kuran. Lepo i ružno. Sve i ništa. Nekad i nikad. Oni koji pre svega veruju u svoju snagu, u silu, u ono što im leži na srcu i duši zapravo i nisu turci. Poigra se tako delom sudbina, delom događaji pa se turci zaigraju i pokušaju da nešto tuđe naprave svojim. Hvala Ediju što je kroz ovu priču nametnuo saznanje da se nešto grčko, bugarsko, rumunsko možda i mađarsko, i prikloni novom životu. Svi oni bace negde u dnu sećanja, gotovo pri granici sa zaboravom, to odakle su da poneki čak i zaborave. Hvala Ediju sto je itekako pokazao da srpska krv ostaje verna sebi, da ta sećanja naši ne zaborave. Probudi se to što su "morali" da zaborave u pravom trenutku, možda ne na vreme ali svakako kad zatreba. Okrene se čeljade koje to i nije više, probudi se dete u čoveku koje podseti šta znači pravi put i ognjište. Šta znači ne izdati i ne pokopati.

"Srbi su čudna paščad , trpe što niko ne može..."

Pašče , vlašče... Negde sam napisala na osvrt za jednu knjigu meni omiljeni deo iz knjige Nož, što bi i ovde bilo skroz ok napisati.

"Ono smo što smo ... "Čekaj, iste su nam 'aljine, samo što sam ja na moje davno sviko. Na meni odelo Safet-bega i Đura Barbarića. Na levoj nozi Đurova na desnoj Safetova cipela. Samo mali i jadni ljudi misle da su rasparene."

Koliko je sviko Gojko na Gokana i koliko je Gokan zapravo Gojko u duši pokazalo se u Janičaru. Nije dozvolio da se sudbina do kraja poigra sa njim, nije dozvolio da pogazi ono što ga nikada nije napustilo. 

Ispleo je Edi sjajnu mrežu likova u romanu. Jakih likova, postavljenih svako na mestu na kome treba da bude. U svakom od njih smo pomalo svi mi, u svakom od njih sam pomalo ja pa sam sebe hvatala kako se zamislim i zapitam samu sebe kako bih se ja ponašala i odreagovala.

Svi smo mi na jednu stranu malčice Stefan malčice Gojko, Bogdan, Dimitrije a sa druge strane pomalo smo i Junuz, Samir. Kako Edi pripoveda, sve zavisi od toga koliko mudrosti ko pokaže.

Početak ove trilogije je lagan, uvede te prvom knjigom a da ni ne znaš kud si se zaputio, krene skroz naivno, detinje. Takav je Janičar dok je sa Ustanikom druga priča, možda skoro pa jednaka ali opet nekako jača, odlučnija i ozbiljnija... ali o njoj na nekom drugom papiru. 

Ljubitelji istorije, ljubitelji priča koje su životne i nikako nepreživljene uživaće u ovom romanu.

Charmaine Pauls was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. She obtained a degree in Communication at the University of Potchestroom, and followed a diverse career path in journalism, public relations, advertising, communications, photography, graphic design, and brand marketing. Her writing has always been an integral part of her professions.

After relocating to Chile with her French husband, she fulfilled her passion to write creatively full-time.
