Charmaine Pauls was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. She obtained a degree in Communication at the University of Potchestroom, and followed a diverse career path in journalism, public relations, advertising, communications, photography, graphic design, and brand marketing. Her writing has always been an integral part of her professions.   
After relocating to Chile with her French husband, she fulfilled her passion to write creatively full-time. Charmaine has published over twenty novels since 2011, as well as several short stories and articles. Two of her shorts have been selected by the International Literary Society for an anthology from across the African continent.  When she is not writing, she likes to travel, read, and rescue cats. Charmaine currently lives in France with her husband and children. Their household is a linguistic mélange of Afrikaans, English, French and Spanish.

Mislim da već i ptice na grani znaju koliko ja volim Federikov stil pisanja i njegove knjige.
Pored Želim te, ova je ostavila najjači utisak jer je i ujedno njegova prva knjiga koja nije YA već je malo ozbiljnija i teža.
Međutim kraj me je iznervirao i već godinama čekam nastavak i srećan zaključak ove priče.
Nastavak je sad konačno tu, a ja sam prvo odučila da se podsetim prvog dela.
I uživala sam kao kada sam čitala prvi put.

“Svako ima svoju slabu tačku, treba samo imati vremena i para da bi se ona otkrila.”

Ako volite ljubavne priče sa malo drame, životima koji se odvijaju tužno i unesrećeno zbog kajanja dok univerzum ne donese priliku za sreću... preporučujem vam od srca Čoveka koji nije želeo da voli.
Mene je Tankredi osvojio svojim surovo realnim razmišljanjima, odlučnim stavom koji poseduje i upornošću.
Sofija mi je, s druge strane, uglavnom išla na živce, mada sam imala donekle razumevanja za odluke koje je donela.

“Ali ljubav je takva, što više daješ srećniji si.”

Sigurna sam da se kraj ni vama neće dopasti, ali nadajmo se svi da će nastavak Hiljadu noći sa tobom to ispraviti.
Čekam neki vikend da negde pobegnem sa tom knjigom pa ću vam otkriti da li sam dobila kraj kakav želim ili ću opet vrištati na sav glas kao za Tri puta ti 😁

Čovek koji nije želeo da voli je jedna od onih knjiga koja navodi na razmišljanje o tome koliko naše reči mogu uticati na nekoga, koliko naša žurba možda može da natera osobu kojoj smo bili slamka spasa da skoči u provaliju koju već dugo posmatra...
I o osećaju krivice koji ne prestaje nakon takvih okolnosti.
